Special Programs

Among Adelphi's innovative academic offerings are several joint degree programs, which allow students to obtain dual degrees from Adelphi and partnering institutions, often at an accelerated pace. Students can pursue joint degrees in engineering, dentistry, law, environmental studies, optometry, and physical therapy. Adelphi's Honors College offers an intellectually challenging curriculum for highly accomplished and ambitious students. Adelphi's highly regarded Learning Disabilities Program was one of the first in the country to blend tutoring with professional counseling to help students with learning disabilities succeed in college. Adelphi is also well known for its programs in thater, dance, and music. A recently completed Fine Arts Building offers state-of-the-art painting, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking studios. Other special programs include a General Studies program for students who show potential but do not meet the University's admissions requirements, and an adult undergraduate degree program.
